Privacy Policy — Lumina Isles
Last updated: October 13, 2026
Lumina Isles is an idle tycoon game. This page describes what the game collects, why, and how to turn it off.
The short version
Your game progress stays on your device. The only thing that ever leaves it is a small stream of anonymous play statistics, sent through Firebase Analytics — and you can turn that off in Settings at any time. Turning it off also erases the one identifier the game ever creates for you.
The one third party: Firebase Analytics
Firebase Analytics, a Google product, is the only third-party service this app uses. It exists so the developer can see which parts of the game people actually reach — which tutorial step loses people, which producers get upgraded, whether an island ever gets restored — without which a game this size would be balanced by guesswork instead of by what players actually do. Google processes this data on the developer's behalf, as the developer's analytics provider.
The one identifier
Firebase assigns each install a random app-instance ID — a string of letters and numbers with no connection to your name, your email, or any account, because Lumina Isles has no accounts. It identifies this copy of the app on this device, not you as a person. It is the only identifier this game itself creates or stores. The masked IP address behind the approximate location described below is Firebase's own, derived by the SDK itself — an identifier under GDPR in its own right, but not one this game ever sees, stores, or has a say over.
- Pseudonymous — it cannot be turned back into your name or contact details by the developer.
- Device-scoped — reinstalling the app, or playing on another device, produces a different one.
- Resettable — turning analytics off in Settings deletes it outright (see "Your choice" below); it does not sit quietly in the background waiting for collection to resume.
What the analytics events describe
Every event Lumina Isles sends is one of a fixed, published list — there is no free-text field connected to analytics anywhere in the game, so there is no free text to accidentally collect. (The only text box anywhere in the app is a save-transfer field in Settings, for copying or pasting your own save data between your own devices; its contents go to your clipboard and are never sent to analytics or anywhere else.) The events fall into three groups:
- Progress — which tutorial step you're on, when a producer is upgraded or unlocked, when a milestone or a prestige run happens, when a daily reward is claimed.
- Engagement — which features get used, whether a reminder notification is opened, roughly how long a session lasts.
- Diagnostics — technical health signals, such as a saved game that failed to load and had to be recovered. These exist to help fix bugs, not to build a profile of anyone.
That list is exhaustive only for what this game's own code sends: Firebase's SDK separately logs a handful of its own automatic events that no call site in this game triggers — first_open, session_start, user_engagement, screen_view, app_update, os_update, app_remove and app_exception — and attaches device model, OS version, app version and language to everything as user properties, the same as it does for any app that includes it.
What Firebase adds on its own
One more thing reaches Firebase without any code in this game asking for it: an approximate location — country and region, not a precise position — worked out from the masked internet address your device connects from. That is how the Firebase Analytics SDK behaves for every app that uses it, not a choice this game made. It is not GPS: the game never requests location permission, and there is no location permission anywhere in this app. Turning analytics off in Settings stops it along with everything else Firebase collects.
What is never collected
Lumina Isles has no mechanism to collect, and does not collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
- Your contacts.
- Anything you type — the game has no chat, no player profile, and no free-text field connected to analytics.
Advertising. Lumina Isles shows no ads, has no advertising or attribution partner, and does not use an advertising identifier to track you or build an advertising profile. The Android system permission that would let an app read the older, cross-app advertising ID has been deliberately removed from this app.
Your choice
Analytics collection is on by default and can be turned off at any time: Settings → "Share anonymous play data." Turning it off does two things immediately: it stops any further collection, and it tells Firebase to discard the app-instance ID and anything already buffered under it. Turning it back on later assigns a fresh ID — Firebase does not remember the old one.
Uninstalling the app has the same practical effect from the device's side: nothing more is ever sent under that ID again.
Offline play
None of the above is required for the game to work. Lumina Isles plays fully offline — every producer, every upgrade, every prestige run — whether or not analytics is turned on. When there is no connection, Firebase simply holds queued events on the device and sends them the next time one is available; that is a detail of how Firebase works, not something the game depends on.
Children
Lumina Isles is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children, and the developer does not knowingly collect data from anyone the developer knows to be under 13.
Changes to this policy
If what the game collects changes — a new SDK, a new event, a new partner — this page changes first, and the "Last updated" date above moves with it. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the current version.
